All The Fun Of The Farm
Hello peeps! Well, today we made the most of Jade being on half term holidays and went to Chipping Wild Boar Farm, near Preston, it was fabulous!!! When we got there, our first impression was that we would be there for about an hour tops, we actually spent over 4 hours there!
I was absolutely starving so me and the kids had wild boar sausages, chips and salad, John had a wild boar sausage roll, with chips and salad, the food was scrummy! I thought we should eat before we went to see the live boars, so we weren't put off!
Then we went to feed the animals, the kids had a ball running around, getting rid of all their pent up energy. Jade got the opportunity to bottle feed a lamb which was lovely. We then made our way over to the barn and held some chicks. Even Joe was ever so gentle with them. Joe and Blessing's attention was turned to the straw and decided to have a straw fight, they were covered in it, and it all got stuck in Blessing's 'fro!
After all that we spent the rest of the time in the playground, an hour of that was in the sand pit, there were diggers and tractors galore, LJ and Finn would have loved it!!!
At the end of the afternoon, we went to the farm shop and bought some wild boar steaks and scrummy pate, which we had when we got home.
On the way home, Blessing was dying to go to sleep but the J's were singing so loud, she just sat there with a glazed expression on her face. At least I will be in her mum's good books, she should sleep like a log tonight!

Awwww, what a lovely day out! The slideshow is a fab idea, it's great to see so many pics of your happy bunch! Can't believe how quickly they're growing away - even Blessing seems twice as big! Lovin the sand pictures of Joe, he & John are going to get along like a house on fire! (They have those diggers at Dairyland too! Jade will be a pro!)
